After 8 years in Karlsbad and a long search for more suitable offices, WOM GmbH has found its new headquarters: Karlsruhe! With this, the salvage exchange takes a big step towards the future.
On November 2, the time had finally come: After a packed moving weekend, the more than 100 employees of WOM GmbH were welcomed in the new office at Windeckstraße 15, 76135 Karlsruhe. Modern ergonomic workstations, newly furnished open space offices, a canteen and much more await them here to improve their everyday office life. And one thing is clear: only when employees feel comfortable does everyone like to give their best, and this is reflected in the company's success.
Because a year with absolute highs at WOM is nearing its end. After minor starting difficulties due to the Corona crisis, record figures were achieved in the summer. In July of this year, for the first time in the company's history, over 50,000 vehicle listings were recorded within one month.
This volume also wants to be handled and this requires competent, motivated employees who give everything each day. "I am very proud of the performance of our employees this year. It is not a matter of course that everyone pulls together like this. I am even more pleased that we can give something back to our employees with this new location" says Manuela Heimberger, COO of WOM WreckOnlineMarket GmbH . With the new open space offices, the company wants to encourage communication across departments and create space for new ideas. Especially after the Corona period in the home office, many employees are looking forward to more interaction here. "For over a year and a half, no team events could be held, the office was empty at times, and you didn't see some colleagues for a long time. I'm already looking forward to the time here when we can sit together and be in one building again!" says Klaus Lauinger, a long-time employee of WOM GmbH. In the meantime, the employees in Karlsbad had spread out over several floors and two different buildings, as the original offices could no longer accommodate everyone after constant growth.
But with over 1000 square meters of office space, WOM is now creating room for the future. Space for ideas, for open cooperation and space for every individual. So WOM is now ready for many more successful years in the residual value business.
